The Fairfax County Parkway Trail (FCPT) snakes its way 35 miles from Great Falls south to Ft Belvoir, VA. There are several gaps in the FCPT, for which official work-around routes have been designated. Unfortunately, signage is sparse, so first-timers on this trail are advised to bring a detailed trail map. For most of its length the FCPT is a craft beer desert, but if you persevere you will find an occasional oasis along your ride.
